Post 82: Sober Noon - 11.1.2024

By July 1, 2024, Secretary of Health and Human Services Elliott Feldman was to arrive in Dallas, TX to begin an investigation into allegations and processes ongoing which had already been reported occurring at Texas Health System -- Fourth Presbyterian Hospital.

The schedule was as follows:

July 1 - July 15, 2024 -- assemblage of local team; site inspections and review of personnel records as well as facilities (including drug testing of staff)

July 1 - July 31, 2024 - termination of personnel as appropriate; audits of records associated with compliance for medical necessity and legality; begin process of attempting to identify replacement personnel

Aug. 1 through Aug. 15, 2024 -- evaluation of sufficiency of availability of personnel and whether hospital system can maintain current level of operations; investigations into concurrent problems with other Dallas-based entities (including new hangar at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport for the Children's Hospital at Parkland campus as well as ongoing issues including in connection with T. Boone Pickens Center at Baylor College Medical Center) to determine if comparable problems exist; same process as above

Aug. 16 - Aug. 31, 2024 - interview/meeting with sponsors and funders of hospital/s; assessment of legal and fiduciary responsibility, including during interim periods and/or in context of closure

Sept. 1 through Sept. 14, 2024 - meetings with Attorney General Toufic Haddad to provide evidence and to make reports necessary for next stages locally; by Sept. 15, 2024 onsite/local presence/participation of Secretary of Health and Human Services no longer required

Sept. 15, 2024 -- first presentation of charges in connection with investigation and evidence

Oct. 1, 2024 -- coordination with Secretary of Defense James Park for follow-up on charges from December of 2023 concerning "defense contracting" using the "health care system" and Attorney General Toufic Haddad regarding strategy from January 2024 meetings with state's Attorneys General; follow-though on early case proceedings

Oct. 15, 2024 - charges in connection with results of Secretary of Defense and Joint Secretary of State (Luecht) from December of 2023 and January of 2024 concerning efforts at domestic and international implications from intervening period until now

Nov. 1, 2024 - Process to be engaged regarding "securing" of facilities and other "assets" of concern; cases to be proceeded upon in other states commensurate with findings insofar as the Attorneys General have followed-up from January of 2024
