As of 3:00 pm EST on February 29, 2024, the following nationals of the Republic of Honduras are placed under sanctions for the following:

 

President Xiomara Castro, AKA Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, AKA Xiomara Castro de Zelaya, is sanctioned by the United States of America for acts of fraud involving bonds issued by and through the United States as of May 15, 2021 and May 15, 2022 until this time.  

 

The National Police of Honduras is sanctioned in accordance with violations of treaties between the United States and Honduras that also violate the Constitution of the Republic of Honduras, including in connection with crimes against American citizens both in Honduras and in the United States. 

 

First Presidential Designate of the Republic of Honduras Salvador Nasralla is sanctioned for refusing to honor treaties between the United States of America and the Republic of Honduras, including in preventing against abuses of the Constitution of the Republic of Honduras by the President of Honduras.

 

Second Presidential Designate of the Republic of Honduras Doris Gutiérrez is sanctioned for refusing to honor treaties between the United States of America and the Republic of Honduras, including in preventing against abuses of the Constitution of the Republic of Honduras by the President of Honduras.

 

Third Presidential Designate of the Republic of Honduras Renato Florentino is sanctioned for refusing to honor treaties between the United States of America and the Republic of Honduras, including in preventing against abuses of the Constitution of the Republic of Honduras by the President of Honduras.

 

These sanctions are to be implemented by the United States Treasury and all financial entities operating in and through the United States of America until further notice.
